Use these helpful tips to find your perfect fit. This guide requires using garments that fit you well as a point of reference.
-
Neck
Measure the circumference of your neck with at least one or two fingers of leeway, depending on preference. Round to the nearest half-inch.
-
Sleeve Length
Measure from the base of the neck at the center point, where your shirt collar meets the yoke, over the shoulder and straight out to your wrist.
When using a shirt that fits well for reference: Begin at the center of the back of the shirt, where the collar meets the yoke, then run the measuring tape to the top armhole seam and straight down to the edge of the cuff.
-
Chest
The chest measurement is taken 1-inch below the armhole, not pit-to-pit. Measure around the body, under the arm at the broadest part of the chest for a full chest measurement.
-
Waist — Tops
Your natural waist is the narrowest part of your torso. Measure the circumference of your torso at your natural waistline.
-
Waist — Bottoms
For pants and trousers, measure the circumference around the body approximately 2-2.5 inches below the naval.
-
Inseam
Measure the inside leg from the crotch seam to the bottom of the pant leg.
